Before You Register

Quick answers.

What class is right for my child?

Red Ball is for ages 5–7, Orange Ball for ages 8–10, Green Ball for ages 10–12, Beginner Yellow for ages 13+, and High Performance Camp for ages 13+ with a brief placement conversation first. Use the booking cards above if you want the clearest current options at a glance.

What if my child has never held a racket?

No prior experience is needed for Red Ball, Orange Ball, or Beginner Yellow. These classes are explicitly designed for brand-new players, and our coaches are used to starting from zero. If you're unsure, email Chris before booking.

Can siblings be in the same class?

Possibly — it depends on age and level. If siblings fall in the same age and experience range they can often be in the same group. Contact us before booking and we'll confirm whether the same class is the right fit for both.

What if I am not sure which class fits best?

Use the quick class finder above to get a recommendation in under a minute. Or email Chris directly — he can point your player toward the strongest fit based on age, experience, and current goals.

What should players bring?

Players should bring a racquet, water, and tennis shoes with non-marking soles. For outdoor summer sessions at Oakmont on clay courts, also bring sun protection and plan for warm weather.

What happens if it rains?

Summer rain makeups are scheduled on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays as needed. Families are notified directly about any cancellations or reschedules.

Do I need a USTA membership to register?

You do not need an existing USTA membership to register through USTA Play Tennis — the platform will prompt you to create a free account if you don't already have one. The process takes about two minutes.
